What is the ACT?
The ACT is a comprehensive exam that is one of the two tests commonly used for college acceptance purposes. The exam consists of four multiple-choice tests and one writing prompt (Saturday tests only).
- English: 75 questions, 45 minutes
- Mathematics: 60 questions, 60 minutes
- Reading: 40 questions, 35 minutes
- Science: 40 questions, 35 minutes

- February 8, 2025
- April 5, 2025

What is the ASVAB?
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a career exploration program that includes a multiple aptitude test battery and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. An interest inventory and various career planning tools are designed to help students explore career opportunities. This test is administered by a representative from the military, but there is no obligation to enlist after taking the ASVAB.

- Coast Guard - 40

What is the PSAT/NMSQT?
The Preliminary SAT also known as the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), is a practice version of the SAT exam. Most students take this exam in 10th and 11th grade. If you earn a qualifying score as a junior, you could qualify to receive a National Merit Scholarship. This test is 2 hours and 45 minutes in length and tests skills in reading, writing, and math.
Date: October 9, 2024 (home campus)
Who: All students who register with their campus College & Career Readiness Specialist
Cost: $18 per student

What is the SAT?
The SAT is a comprehensive exam that is one of the two tests commonly used for college acceptance purposes. There are three sections: math, critical reading and writing. The first two sections are multiple-choice tests. The writing is only offered on Saturday tests.
- Reading: 52 questions, 65 minutes
- Math: 58 questions, 80 minutes
Date: March 12, 2025 (on home campus)
Who: Juniors
When: During the school day

What is the TSIA2?
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is a series of placement tests for students enrolling in public colleges and universities in Texas. These tests help schools determine if the student is ready for college-level courses in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
